Abstract— Nonverbal
communication is the concealed language of emotional intelligence that either
attracts or resists others. Nonverbal communication work as connectors that
connect us to others and conveys emotions more powerfully than words, Most of
our communication is driven by emotions and is generally non-verbal , this is
true in our classrooms and so is an important factor improving the
psychological ethos of the classroom. Emotions are known as the building blocks
of every relationship in life. They can carry thoughts, transform relationships
and profoundly influence behaviour of a person. It is necessary for an
individual to be aware and in control of their emotions, to think clearly and
creatively; manage stress and challenges; communicate well with others and,
show their confidence. While having an argument or dealing with others, our
emotions influence the process of communication. Emotional intelligence is the
hidden factor in making contacts and also in communication. Five key skills of
emotional intelligence are Quick stress relief, Emotional awareness, Non-verbal
communication, and Playful communication and Conflict resolution. The present
paper discusses the role of non-verbal communication in the classroom and
school campuses to help the students be emotionally intelligent people and
indirectly helps them to be a balanced personality with happiness quotient and
positive energy.
